Fontis Set to be a Part of 35th Annual Big Shanty Festival

Kennesaw’s biggest special event of the year, the 35th Annual Big Shanty Festival, will take place this weekend, April 16-17. Co-sponsored by the City of Kennesaw and the Kennesaw Business Association (KBA), the festival features more than 200 booths of crafters, artisans, and vendors as well as live entertainment on several stages, a Civil War encampment, children’s activities and more than 30 food booths. And of course the water on hand will be Fontis Mountain Spring Water.
Attendance this year is expected to top 55,000 over the two-day event. The festival opens with a Saturday, 9:30 am parade featuring local high school bands, colorful floats and more than 1,000 young marchers. Admission to the festival is free.
