Posted on Apr 23, 2010 by candace
Saturday the 24th begins the annual Smyrna Spring Jonquil Festival which runs through April 25th!
What the heck is a Jonquil anyways??
Answer: A jonquil is a daffodil with light golden petals surrounding a crown of darker gold. It is traditionally used to decorate for the Chinese New Year. It is also referred to as the Daffodil of Wales.
The festival is in the beautiful Smyrna Village Green. There will be over 150 craft vendors and artists from around the country! Come out and see why the Jonquil festival is known for its great, unique shopping.
In addition to great crafts there will be plenty of ICE COLD FONTIS WATER to beat the HEAT!
