Fontis Water Teams Up with Acworth Turkey Chase

We all know that during the holidays we sometimes over indugle. A little too much turkey with that second helping of dressing and gravy? Yes, it happens to the best of us. But why not this year get in a great race before Thanksgiving Day?! We at Fontis are proud to be a part of this year’s Acworth Turkey Chase. This year’s race will take place on Saturday, November 19, from 6:30 AM to 11 AM in downtown Acworth. Race directors are anticipating between 1000 and 1200 participants this year.

In only its second year last year, the Acworth Turkey Chase had 950 participants and collected 2,000 non-perishable food items which were distributed in the Acworth Community. This year the race will host a 5K Fun Run and 2K Walk. This cost is $10 for age 13 & over, $5 for age 6 to 12 and age 5 & under can participate in the “Little Pilgrim Trot” for free. And it’s important to note that the more participants they have the more food they are able to collect.

Race Day Schedule:
7:00 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. Registration/ race packet pick up
9:00 a.m. 5K Run Start
9:15 a.m. 2K Walk Start
10:00 a.m. Little Pilgrim Trot Start (up to age 5)
